Dance With My Father

     we can't have long conversations
your smile here and a sentence there
                  you laugh with silent eyes
                    glint, mint of years adrift
                       rainbows in your smile
                 swing me to stay grounded
                     memories in renaissance
                        sunset singing twilight
                        when it's time, it's time
